Stacy Martin, born January 1st, 1991, is a French-English actress. She is best known for her role as the young version of the character Joe in Lars von Trier’s drama film Nymphomaniac.

Stacy spent her early childhood in Paris, but then moved to Japan when she was 7-years-old and she lived there with her father, Rene, and her mother Annette until she was thirteen. She moved to London after finishing school, to follow her dream of becoming an actress. Stacy modeled to fund her living. She attended London College of Communication and studied Media and Cultural Studies. Stacy had private acting classes and also studied the Meisner technique of acting at the Actors’ Temple.

In 2013, Stacy’s breakthrough role was in the Lars von Trier film, Nymphomaniac. She portrayed Young Joe, aged 15 to 31. For her role in the drama film, Stacy had a body double for many scenes. She got nominated for her role for a Bodil Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. She was a part of the Breakthrough Brits 2014 which recognized emerging talents by the BAFTA. In 2015, Stacy portrayed Faye in the film High-Rise, and also Young Dora in Tale of Tales. Stacy was involved with the Rag & Bone Spring 2014 campaign and has also modeled for Miu Miu (2014 and 2015 Fall/Winter). She was the face of Miu Miu’s first fragrance.
